                        1.Set of electronic circuits on a small plate ('CHIPS') of semiconductor material

                           ,normally sillicon

                        2.Much smaller than a discrete circuit made from independent components.

                         

                        3.Be made very compact and have billions of transistor and other electrical components.

                        4.The width of each conducting line in a circuit can be made smaller and smaller                             as the technology advances....
